From memory;
America, where are you now?
Don't you care about your son's and daughter's?
Don't you know, we need you now?
We can't fight alone against the Monster.

Two profound forms of legalese logic, mixed together and both of which defy description. If any of you can figure it out, congratulations. I can't.

New Level of Education
After having failed his exam in "Logistics and Organization", a student goes and confronts his lecturer about it.
Student, "Sir, do you really understand anything about the subject?"
Professor, "Surely I must. Otherwise I would not be a professor!"
Student, "Great, well then I would like to ask you a question. If you can give me the correct answer, I will accept my mark as is and go. If you however do not know the answer, I want you give me an 'A' for the exam."
Professor, "Okay, it's a deal. So what is the question?"
Student: "What is legal, but not logical, logical, but not legal, and neither logical, nor legal?"
After some long and hard consideration, the professor cannot give the student an answer, and therefore changes his exam mark into an 'A', as agreed.
Afterwards, the professor calls on his best student and asks him the same question.
Student immediately replies, "Sir, you are 63 years old and married to a 35 year old woman, which is legal, but not logical. Your wife has a 25 year old lover, which is logical, but not legal. The fact that you have given your wife's lover an 'A', although he really should have failed, is neither legal, nor logical."
Today's http://www.dilbert.com/ takes it a step further.

Comradely greetings to one and all.
"Was it good for you?" -- Posted by Comrade One at 2:43 PM.
Forgive me for being somewhat unclear on this particular concept, but does the question refer to Iggy's statement, or to the brain spasm, stroke and flesh-eating disease I have gone through since Nov. '96? All my own fault, of course.
Sure, yours truly remains battered, bruised but not beaten. I'm still alive in one form or another (I think), so Herb -- Thanks and Welcome To My Nightmare!
This is toward the end of Garth's posters -- a down-to-earth view on the reality of what is happening. Poster deserves credit for the post and link; I'm just passing it over to you.

Ok! Reading this this weekend was depressing!
Harry Dent is calling for 15 more years of slowdown!
(I just puked on my keyboard!!!) :->>
“The stimulus works when the generation is still rising and needs to spend more money, buy more houses and get their kids in college,” he said. While retirees may still go on cruises and live relatively well, they are expected to spend less and focus more on saving for retirement.
“It’s not going to turn the economy around,” Mr. Dent said, predicting another strong stock market crash late in 2009 or in 2010, followed by an even deeper downturn into 2010 and 2011. As for de-leveraging, the economist expects that trend will continue into 2012 or 2013 before the economy can expand again.

Charles, my reference to the Ignatieff statements regarding the flag was intended to point out how out of step they were with current issues facing the country. Irrelevant and without merit at this time.
ReplyDeleteExcept for this. I purposely made reference to the Nation, as his relatively meaningless statement, does have a target audience, and that is the Nation of Quebec. The flag issue, remember? It's old I know, but for those still hanging onto 250 year old grudges, it's a new born.
