Thought I would highlight this link provided by Dee, as it very much focuses on, and explains much of what I feel is necessary in order for much of the World to get it's feet back under it. The article also goes along with what I wrote at the bottom of the April 9th post. Environment, alternative energy and Small is beautiful.
One of the most wise thoughts offered here;
"3. People who were driving a school bus blindfolded (and crashed it) should never be given a new bus. The economics establishment (universities, regulators, central bankers, government officials, various organisations staffed with economists) lost its legitimacy with the failure of the system. It is irresponsible and foolish to put our trust in the ability of such experts to get us out of this mess. Instead, find the smart people whose hands are clean."
