Canada's Federal Politicians once again, conspire to hide the truth

Accountability Takes Another Hit with Changes to MP Conflict-of-Interest Rules

OTTAWA--The Green Party of Canada is stunned with the news that MPs approved changes to the House of Commons conflict-of-interest code after a secret committee meeting, with the result that cash and benefits they receive from political parties and riding associations will be exempt from public disclosure.

“This is bizarre,” said Green Leader Elizabeth May. “Money to public office holders from any source must be public. The potential for abuse in this new system is stunning.”

  1. Before carrying on with Numbers 21 - 30 of why men are so utterly clueless, I would like to explore Globalization, albeit from a different perspective. Hence . . .
    ------
Finally, a definition of globalization that I can understand and to which I now can relate:

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

    Answer: Princess Diana's death.

    Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a French tunnel, driving a German car with a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was drunk on Scottish whisky (check the bottle before you change the spelling), followed closely by Italian Paparazzi on Japanese motorcycles; treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by a Canadian, using American Bill Gates’ technology, and you're probably reading this on your computer, that uses Taiwanese chips and a Korean monitor, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by Indian truck drivers, hijacked by Indonesians, unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.

    That, my friends, is Globalization.
    ------
    Are All Men Really Like This, Nos. 21 - 30 . . .

    21. All men think that they're nice guys. Some of them are not. Contact me for a list of names.

    22. Men don't get cellulite. God might just be a man.

    23. Men have an easier time buying bathing suits. Women have two types: depressing and more depressing. Men have two types: nerdy and not nerdy.

    24. Men have higher body temperatures than women. If your heating goes out in winter, I recommend sleeping next to a man. Men are like portable heaters that snore.

    25. Women take clothing much more seriously than men. I've never seen a man walk into a party and say, "Oh, my Gosh, I'm so embarrassed; get me out of here. There's another man wearing a black tuxedo."

    26. Most men hate to shop. That's why the men's department is usually on the first floor of a department store, two inches from the door.

    27. If a man prepares dinner for you and the salad contains three or more types of lettuce, he is serious.

    28. If you're dating a man who you think might be "Mr. Right," if he:

    a) got older; b) got a new job, or c) visited a psychiatrist, you are in for a nasty surprise. The cocoon-to-butterfly theory only works on cocoons and butterflies.

    29. Men own basketball teams. Every year cheerleaders' outfits get tighter and briefer, and players' shorts get baggier and longer.

    30. No man is charming all of the time. Even Cary Grant is on record saying he wished he could be Cary Grant.

Re: the headline at the top. 99% of politicians are in the game for only two reasons: Power and Money.

One per cent are are honest, hard-working types and consequently, do not get ahead in political life.

    More's the shame.

eh a few millions missing, it was good for the country

The stage is set so we can count on many more `good things happening for the country.

Herb must be please as punch at this `incremental change`.

lol, invest in Canada. Occasionally the old saying of more money than brains proves true but nobody would be fool enough not to have a look at sustainability without considering the impact of generation Upurs.

Did you know I`m personally responsible for turning Vancouver in the gang capital of the world because I bbq myself in a divorce. Sry folks, didn`t know my decision would abuse a few hundred thousand children.

Herb, trying to sweep this under the carpet is just as despicable as lawyers using sole custody to abuse children for profit. Your CBA roots are so deep they have rotted the stem.

I`m rooting for a Lib majority and then I`ll tell you the plan.

Flaherty says budget officer 'wrong' to predict long-term deficits
    Sat Jun 13, 5:23 PM

Now, if you make an assumption with respect to lower growth rates, then you get the results that he postulates.
    =====================

Thank heavens Flaherty has based his assumptions on his `I hope this shit works` plan.

For a reality check, only in 1993 was there enough debatable evidence to support positive stimulus results. Unlike the current crisis the stimulus was applied to an already recovering economy and we didn`t have Generation Upurs to lay it off on. The`re already saying, what is this shit.
Spending more to cure an over spending problem has no history of success, only failure. Selling used hay as fresh, on credit, to Generation Upurs, who thinks this shit up?

Hundreds of billions to prop up a failed system, only in Canada you say, damn good thing.
Da, you can keep the lot.

In a couple of years on Garth and now on Comrades, I have launched precisely one "personal attack" on you, that of June 11, 2009 at 2:39 PM.

Care to count yours on me, asso?

  8. How many issues have you addressed, 1.

On provincially nominated governments you said it would cut out grass roots politics. everyone including myself not only disagreed with you but showed you where you were wrong yet you still stick to your incremental change.
The last incremental change tossed MP gifts out the window, the last one scammed investigators till Elections Canada could destroy the evidence.
Your defence of the polluted with corruption system is pathetic.
If you won`t acknowledge the intentional abuse of children for profit creating the gang capital of the world how about `a few millions missing, it was good for the country`. Tell us which Liberal MP`s where elected and still in office on the proceeds of crime.

As pathetic as your attempt is, your failure to address the issues only with incremental change makes you an asshole. We can live with it as long as the smell stays in Da, can you?

  9. Another incremental change

Dalton Mcquinty on full day K age 4 and 5.

"A strong start makes a strong finish."

Without new recruits we may lose the distinction of gang capital of the world.
First we have a cure to an overspending problem by spending more, now we have a cure to a lack of parenting by eliminating even more parenting.

Who thinks this shit up, well the lawyers will be fat little piggies so guess who.

What Can We Learn from Quebec’s Universal Childcare Program?

By Michael Baker, Jonathan Gruber and Kevin Milligan
    February 1, 2006
Several measures we looked at suggest that children were worse off in the years following the introduction of the universal childcare program. We studied a wide range of measures of child well-being, from anxiety and hyperactivity to social and motor skills. For almost every measure, we find that the increased use of childcare was associated with a decrease in their well-being relative to other children.
Furthermore, we find that several important measures of well-being show parents to be worse off. The survey data showed that mothers of the children in daycare were more depressed, as indicated by the significant rise in their depression scores relative to the average.

Plato, in Republic, has Socrates offer this advice to philosopher kings: Take all the children from their parents and rid the city of adults.

Who owns the youths controls the future. — Slogan used by Napoleon and also by the founders of the Wandervogel (”bird of passage”, the enormously popular youth movement that began in about 1880 in Germany and produced many of the prominent — and often homosexual — Nazi leaders)

Give me your 4-year-olds, and within one generation I’ll construct a socialist state. — Lenin

[The State] must set race in the center of all life. It must take care to keep it pure. It must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. It must see to it that only the healthy beget children…. —
    Hitler, in Mein Kampf

First they came for the fathers, then for the mothers, and now for both parents in intact families. In the end all children will be in the care, custody and control of the State. —
    Walter H. Schneider

Personal debt including federal, state and municipal debt owed by the average American family of four is $1M. The good news, the last $787B is included.

Ontario, you are so screwed you might want to see about the position of 51st state.

  15. And quite frankly???

Frankly the current situation by volume makes the 50`s residential school abuses look like a kiddies day at McD. The people responsible for that are mostly gone but the people responsible for the latest atrocity are not only still alive, some are still in office. The children from the height of this immoral, unconstitutional and often illegal scam of profiting from sole custody are just reaching street age. This isn`t going away, it will only get worse over the next 5 years. The starting point to resolving this issue is to handcuff Anne McLellan on a charge of obstruction of justice. I`ll personally sign the complaint and present the evidence.

    no justice, no investment

  18. This is such foolishness I get a cocked fist attitude every time I sit at this keyboard.

Vancouver, first property crime capital of NA, 4 times higher than NYC. This year gang capital of the world, all while we have the most police than ever and during an economic boom when crime traditionally goes down. We also have the highest number of parent denied children flooding out onto the streets. The aggravation mounts when our federal government could care less what the`ve enabled the justice industry to create. They care so little the only part of any ongoing discussion is whether BC should have an integrated police force.

Does anyone honestly believe this coming generation, outnumbered by seniors and outgunned, would even consider taking the yoke. Obviously this is an extremely serious situation but because our government rarely looks past the next parry and certainly never past the next election they refuse to deal with any issue that goes beyond the next election. Health care, university tuition, UI, global warming, fisheries, and the big one, the highest number of troubled youth both in numbers and in historical ratios while making up the smallest portion of the population in Cdn history.

Our elected federal government has successfully avoided dealing with these issues so they could pound out the sexy stuff and get elected. The results of this over the top political shenanigans is on the verge of completely destroying a generation already in serious trouble and barely street age.

Avoidance, distract dismiss deny isn`t working, the none of the above ground is half the population and climbing. Personally I`m still quite sure economic conditions will force the change before the other half march the whole crew out to the curb, but perhaps I`m underestimating Cdns after the results of green shoots keep turning brown. Either way it looks like the kids flooding out on the street are on their own. So are we.

  22. Herb, it's spring time, and the fishies are jumping. lol

A little story about fish. Some years ago while visiting Owen Sound, I observed Salmon trying to return to their birthplace in order to spawn. There was this man made waterfall that spanned the river at one point, which the fish had to get up in order to reach their destination. I observed literally hundreds of fish, some of which were able to jump the waterfall, some that weren't and a few that had discovered a lift off to one side that would carry them up to the next level.

Those that couldn't jump the falls and didn't discover the lift, tried over and over again until they became so weakened that they died there in that pool. The pool and it's banks were littered with the carcasses of Salmon that never figured out, or were lucky enough to discovered there might be a second way around what appeared to be an insurmountable obstacle.

The moral of this story is, some fishies are just plain prone to obsessive compulsive behaviour.
