Interesting article on Russia from Charlesius

Misery loves company. Thought I would highlight this article as it does say a great deal about the state of affairs in the World today.

I had a few moments earlier to absorb some of the affairs of the day and saw the PM and Obama at the latest conference.

I wonder if those many leaders can find a truly useful direction. Can an offer of an open hand actually bring forward the best in those who are positioned to lead?

There is the story of the American born Iranian journalist sentenced to 8 yrs. by a Fundamentalist Iranian court and their PM, making overtures toward making efforts to show some good will.

Will they put aside the antagonism, the Imperialism, the politics and apply their abilities for once in my lifetime, to move forward together?

Sometimes I walk through the Valley of fools. Sometimes I walk through a Valley of Angels.

The Human condition.

  1. After contemplating on "BananaBum" hairy (a.k.a. Snugglebums) for a few fleeting moments this morning, I then pondered trading myself in for a newer, much more handsome-looking and efficient bodily-fluid model, and less flatulent to boot. ZERO EMISSIONS! If you like, I'll keep y'all updated!

But first, a musical piece to begin, with a new workplace ethic thrown in. --
    Here's something to think about.

I recently chose a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing 'fairly well' for my age. (I just turned 53.)

A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, 'Do you think I'll live to be 80?'

He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?'

'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'

Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?'

'Not much. My former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!'

'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'

    'No I don't.'

'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?'

He looked at me and said,

'Then, why do you even give a shit'?

  2. Dudes? Did you catch this one over @ zh? If you mosey over to the link Hal Turner has added a recent entry to the topic.

Nikkei is down tonight, way down.

  3. Dee mentioned earlier that the Nikkei was way down. The Dow tumbled Monday and now this. --

Apparently, 16 out of the 19 US banks are insolvent, which is why the Dow got the wind up its' tail because of the financials, and now the Nikkei is following suit -- the domino effect.

Someone put a link on one of Garth's earlier posts of something 'big' which would happen around this past weekend, and possibly a few days' hence, which rolls into this week, and this says Russia is increasing its' military build-up in central Asia.

Unbeknownst to many, the house, or deck of cards has now begun crashing down, culminating in these blasted winter olympics in 2010, when the world deteriorates into a multitude of partisan wars.

By then, govts. all over, because of the panic their citizens are going through via job losses / home foreclosures / bankruptcies, etc., will be more than ready to fight with each other, to place our attention elsewhere.

A poster in Garth's current entry, Of Bullion and Bubbles, has a link which shows the US debt is rising at US$1 mln. every ten seconds. Obama, or anyone else, has no chance at all of getting this under control.

China has been making very quiet strides, not only to dump their US bonds and cash reserves, but also buying up a lot of copper and other commodities which the world will eventually need for new equipment.

China is not stupid. They are putting themselves in a very smart position of keeping their friends close, but their enemies closer. Russia and Iran, which hold 20-25% of the world's oil and gas reserves, Venezuela, and other energy rich countries have also sided with China.
From Germany, which probably includes most of Europe including the UK:

German adviser warns of stagnation if no bank revamp

BERLIN, April 19 (Reuters) - A senior economic advisor to the German government warned at the weekend that prolonged stagnation loomed if Germany failed to quickly agree a plan to restructure its banking system. Etc., etc.

If stagnation, or stagflation comes into play, then I guess it would be similar to what is happening here -- assets falling in price, while food and other necessities are rising.
Did he ever call this one bang on the money! --
GM is cutting 1,600 jobs or so in the next few days, but more to the point they are likely to build there as US and Canadian plants close, I wonder why. Ahhh! Cheaper wages!

  4. FYI in case you missed the weirdness.........

Hope all this shit didn't start because of GS.

  5. my advice probably sucks, what's yours?

a 20 year old was just the victim of a major theft that is covered by insurance if it is reported to the police.
this person feels nervous about reporting it because this person was abused by several members of the police force between the ages of 5 and 11.

i think this person knows that further assaults are unlikely as the victims age now gives the abuse reports credibility.

my advice was to picture the police with piggy snouts, fill out the paper work and hope none of the offspring of the officers involved in the abuse were involved in the theft.

i'll admit its not a confidence builder for the perpetual victims of abuse, what's your advice?

  6. "what's your advice'

The police investigate themselves and they say the`re as dedicated as any 1950`s priest ever was.

My, advice,,, if not well armed, stay low.

  7. "Will they put aside the antagonism, the Imperialism, the politics and apply their abilities for once in my lifetime, to move forward together?

I don`t believe I`ve ever seen them work together better. They`ve thrown out the smoke on water boarding an enemy that has no problem targeting children while a job driven recovery that was the election promise keeps getting put off farther into the future, while governments mull buying more toxic assets.
I think perhaps it might be more interesting and probably more productive to see the people say enough is enough which about when the tax bills come in for the trillions. Should be memorably loud, at least as loud as `off with their heads`.

I`m most curious if, or rather when politicians will become less popular than lawyers, unseen since the french rev.

  8. A Newfie, Tim Horton's and Viagra

A Newfoundland lady of a certain age visited her physician to ask his help in reviving her husband's sex drive.

"What about trying Viagra?" asks the doctor.

"Oh, no, doctor, I couldn't do dat," she said. "He won't even take an aspirin.

"Not a problem," replied the doctor. "Drop it into his coffee. He won't even taste it. Give it a try and call me in a week to let me know how things went."

It wasn't a week later that she called the doctor, who inquired as to the progress.

The poor dear exclaimed, "Oh Jaysus Mary and Joseph, doctor, t'was horrid. Just terrible!"

"Really? What happened?" asked the doctor.

"Well, I did like you said and slipped it into his coffee, lard. De effect was almost immediate. He jumped hisself straight up, with a twinkle in his eye, and with his pants a-bulgin' something fierce! With one swoop of his arm he sent the cups and tablecloth flying, ripped me clothes to tatters and then, Lard tunder and Jaysus, didn't he take me right then and there, making wild, mad passionate love to me on the tabletop! It was a nightmare, I tell you!"

"Why so terrible?", asked the doctor. "Do you mean the sex was not good?"

"No, no, no, Doctor. The sex was fine. Indeed, t'was the best sex I had in 25 years.

"But, oh me son, I'll never be able to show me face in Tim Horton's ever again!"
Took a break the past couple of days. Still getting over the after-shock of finishing my income tax.

But it worked out very well -- I'll end up either getting back or owing $25, which means that my disability pension and wage replacement loss have been almost tax-free! I can live with that!

No link, but head and following comments reads: "The Mighty Debt Purge Of 2009

"The Fed's $12.8 trillion of monetary stimulus has triggered a six week-long surge in the stock market. Think of it as Bernanke's Bear Market Rally, a torrent of capital gushing from every rusty pipe in the financial system. The Fed's so-called "lending facilities" have gone far beyond their original purpose which was to backstop a broken system. Now they're leaking liquidity into the equities markets and sending stocks soaring while the "real" economy sinks to the bottom of the fish tank. That's how the Fed does business these days; plenty of tasty crepes for the Wall Street kingpins and table-scraps for the lumpen masses."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

"Imagine a guy who has a ton of credit cards, and his doctor tells him he has only 6 weeks to live. Assuming that the credit card companies don't find out and cancel his cards immediately (fat chance these days) the guy goes on a wild spree for the remaining weeks of his life, spending money like there is no tomorrow (which is the truth).

"That is kind of what Wall Street looks like; a terminelaly ill patient with only weeks to live, maxing out the credit cards on one wild last party.

"Guess who gets the bill after this particular patient falls over dead."
Most know that David Kellerman, a top gun at Freddie Mac (supposedly / apparently) committed suicide today. However, from different links on

"Sabrina Ruck, a Fairfax County police spokesman, confirmed to the AP that Kellermann was dead, but she could not confirm that he committed suicide despite WUSA reporting that Fairfax police told them it was a suicide."

"Did he find something out that he wasn't supposed to know?"

"Now the police have changed their story, Freddie Mac CFO shot himself in the head. Was this before the hanging?"

    Webmaster's Commentary:

"Homicide is the presumption in all unattended deaths. Suicide must be proven, and as we have been seeing for the last 16 years, suicides are not always what they seem to be."

  9. ""Now the police have changed their story, Freddie Mac CFO shot himself in the head. Was this before the hanging?"

Possibly he was so upset the bonus was anything but the golden silence AIG execs got he shot himself in the head 5 times before he hung himself.

  10. lol, seems the shell shock of reality have set into this group. Pity the notion that the only political solution is to replace the system has set in so I`ll entertain with a comment on a past comment.

"I`m most curious if, or rather when politicians will become less popular than lawyers, unseen since the french rev."

Craig Oliver certainly started something when he coined terms `elections truths` and `political truths` to replace or avoid calling any politicians liars. Now the police are on to `allowed misinformation` on the RCMP VAP tasering homicide.

Comrades, I think it`s time to take us and this site into the ehistory books by coining a few ourselves.

Inadvertently, the subject inadvertency placed himself in the bullets path by sitting in his car, sounds much better than police intentionally shot someone...

Seriously how desperate can the desperate get before they stand up and say what we all know, they lied their faces off and people have died.

Do these police officers realize there are criminal offences the relate to covering up a homicide, even if indolent. But of course they are above the law, `allowed misinformation` says it all.

Hard to say who is screwing this country up more, politics or justice. The one thing the majority of Cdns know, it is screwed up, calling it a political vacuum is just more Oliver bullshit.

Most think these ongoing concerns of distract dismiss deny about corrupt activities is just part of getting up in the morning. The big one will be the jobless recovery when `this election is all about `jobs`, jobs baby jobs`, 3 letter word, jobs`. I`m thinking the public rejection of the term, `jobless recovery` will be the one rejected first, then the public will move outward to `election truths`.

  11. The inside track on what a jobless recovery will look like.

Seems a lot of politicians are saying look ahead not back or stop pointing your finger at the cause, point at direction.

The next generation will be facing massive public debt in an economy that will take many many years to recover back to where it was even a year ago. They will also have to deal with the historically and climbing amount of crime while health care costs quadruple thanks to being outnumbers by seniors. Global warming and the tripling of costs to go green, from gas powered gridlock to electric car gridlock. Brining troops home simply to control our population, solders in the streets becomes a reality.
Does it seem reasonable that the next gen would be sitting in gridlock thinking about the massive debt load and other responsibilities brought on mostly by corrupt government making sure the corrupt bankers keep their beach fronts.

Oliver says it`ll just be a time of `moderating income`, I`m already hearing the next generation and it sounds more like up yours.

I wouldn`t bet against America but I wouldn`t bet against the a continuing increase to the most home grown violence we`ve ever seen simply because it continues to go unchecked. We can coin it a `demographic exaggeration` rather than call it the failing of a corrupt government.

First the government fails, then the economy, then the country. The government has failed, the economy has failed and the country is failing and the best the brightest can come up with is `election truths`.

    omg are we ever screwed

  12. Breaking (the bs meter) News

BoC outlines recovery stages but omits any mention of employment.

BoC confident the updated economic outlook they describe fits the economic plan they generated.

  13. The secret is out.

To be a big hit with the presstitutes you simply need to construct a scenario that fits the plan you have, and when it isn`t demographic exaggeration you simply say, we`ll no one saw that coming`. lol yet here we are, still saying `we told you so` still calling them on the jobless recovery as no recovery at all. That stimulus is only a parachute, not a recovery builder while noting only the really dense would believe the same crew using the same methods of borrow and spend that created this cliff, is the parachute. Sounds like an anvil to the drowning to the rational but then we don`t get paid to sell it to the public.
Personality I`d just like to get paid to make it look funny. How much was this 10 minutes worth and I didn`t even have to make anything up, lol.

  14. TGIT. Tank Gawd Itz Tursday! One day closer to the weekend. Nowhere near as warm as it usually is for this time of year; we're going to heaven in a blcok of ice!
This is truly remarkable. For hundreds, maybe thousands of years, people have been trying to figure out how primitive people could build huge structures such as Stonehenge and the pyramids out of stone blocks weighing thousands of pounds. Scientists have been stumped.

Then along comes a normal guy -- a retired construction worker -- and he says well, I would do it like this. And he does. He uses the simplest tools known to man and shows how simple and easy it would have been to create Stonehenge.

This is a really great video clip. Amazing how he could figure out something that has confounded scholars for centuries.

And not only figures it out, but demonstrates it! He could build a replica of Stonehenge
single-handedly, while a committee of 20 or 30 Civil Engineering professors from leading universities would be debating how it might be

"As the world financial and economic crisis comes into its own, the Western political leaders and elites are seeking to impress on mankind the idea that this upheaval will end up ‘turning the world into something different’.

"Even though the picture of the 'new world order’ remains vague and fuzzy, the main idea is quite clear: A single global government, goes the argument, has to be established if we don’t want general chaos to prevail."

  15. Yes and the plan to bomb Canada was also in the works.

  16. Greetings, Comrades,

I have been away on "detached duty" pushing my own private revolution against the bone- and bullheadedness of the Canada Revenue Agency. After two years of inconclusive skirmishing, the Revenooers and I will fight it out in Tax Court, and I had to complete, file and serve my "Answer" to the enemy's "Response" to my "Notice of Appeal". Which accounts for my recent lack of blogging activity, although I have been lurking.

To reassure Charlesius, I'm not shellshocked, just coldly resolved not to let the bastards get away with incompetence and intransigence. And, although Anon/Bend/Hudun... won't agree, I have some faith in the independence, logic and objectivity of our judicial system. I just wish that lawyers were not unaffordable. CRA and I are not fighting about peanuts, but preparation and representation by a tax lawyer would cost more than the amount at issue. So, I am about to waste a third summer immersed in the black art of taxation policy and practice, rather than sunshine and water.

Comrade One, what's the word on your injured family member?

  17. "Anon/Bend/Hudun... won't agree, I have some faith in the independence, logic and objectivity of our judicial system."

That`s harsh Herb. I have as much sympathy for your `justice for the rich` problem as you do for the hundreds of thousands of children that have been intentionally abused by the courts for profit.

If you think I`m being a little too critical never forget that not only my rights as a parent was unconstitutionally denied my children were beaten to the ground to enforce this scam created by our corrupt federal government. Multiply this be a million and the results are way too obvious for anyone but politicians or msm to ignore.
One must consider you`d rather pick a fight with some anon blogger victim of the corruption we all face, unless your plight is smoke to distract the readers from our corrupt, broken system. That must be getting harder to do all the time with the results of judicial corruption taking crime to historical highs.

Are u a shill for the criminals Herb?

  18. Herb, Now that you`ve returned to the light should we expect a comment on the series of studies on daycare a few posts back. Personally I`d settle for an apology for you accusations I only make broad based statements but you might find the need to attach a little credibility to those you defend with the tactics you prefer.

For those not seeking to defend the indefensible I bring you a little truth you`ve come to this site for.

The bankers are saying that even though recovery will be slow, `the worst is over`,,, right on the heels of the worst economic report Cdns have seen in most lifetimes.
Carney says the Canadian economy will shrink by three per cent this year as opposed to the 1.2 per cent he predicted in January even though nothing has changed materially. Globally consumers are perhaps not quite as broke as they were 3 months ago although this is negated by the increased in unemployed. It was a bull shit plan designed to prop up our failed government 3 months ago, it hasn`t changed. Indenturing the next out numbered by seniors generation with a lifetime of debt that has served and will serve no purpose other than to prop up a failed system has the shout `up yours` painted all over that generation. A generation so abused for profit by the justice industry tripling the crime rate over the next decade has only one outcome.
The economic plan he was referring to yesterday that `fit the updated economic outlook` was not only generated to fit the January forecast it was stated it`s success was contingent of the accuracy of the January economic outlook. It`s more than 100% off the mark. Carney made a mistake of several hundred billion dollars and has now generated another economic outlook `tailored` to suit the new reality of the same economic strategy the first outlook was tailored to fit, and out by several hundred million.
Carney just made a few excremental changes and moved a little upwind in the hopes no one notices he just fertilized a field of weeds.

Never mind how does this guy keep his job, how much bum patting does it take to keep msm from exposing this.

Cdn msm motto, `no ass to big to kiss, no dick too small`.

btw I really don`t care if you attempt to redeems yourself Herb. Defending this system broken by corruption won`t fix it so have fun, for the rest of you, be brave.

  19. I`m running out of time but just for you Herb, to let you know we know and all your bs twisting won`t change the facts.
Not that I mind repeating this, lol, it seems to irk you so much you go silent for days.

The results of the Cdn governments crimes against humanity is now evident in Vancouver. It was undeniable in 2005 and has duplicated the forecasted results of 2001 on.

While the Cdn government may have plausible deniability in the 1950 residential schools they have none in creating the highest amount of troubled youth in Cdn history. Even if they pleaded ignorance up until the 1998 report `For the Sake of the Children` they have no excuse in following the report with the highest sole custody rate leading to the highest number of parent denied children in Cdn history. There is only one group that benefits from sole custody and that is the justice industry backed with support and blessings of our federal government.
The use of sole custody for profit is a crime against humanity and is proven in Vancouver BC. Our federal government has been involvement of it`s involvement in the illegal use of sole custody and has at least since 1998 been involved in the criminal activity knowingly and intentionally.
The whole of the federal government is involved. Incremental change will not alter this situation Herb, only a charging all those implicated by support this international recognized parameters of crimes against humanity. The results showing up in Vancouver just won`t fit into any plausible excuse, they knew then and they know now which means it is intentional and the obvious motive in increased revenue is also undeniable.

Again Herb, no need to dirty your hands, these criminals you call our elected government will eventually surrender and face justice. My case is rested.

    no justice, no investment

  20. I`ve posted the links often enough so I`ll go right to the summery. What government and the justice industry is ignoring to the point of a coverup.

1998 Government warned in a government report what the results of the current sole custody exposure to children would produce. Courts followed up by creating the highest number of parent denied children in Cdn history.
2005 The results of 90`s sole custody rates produced a headline, `police loosing to crime` even though we have the highest number of police per capita than ever before and during an economic boom.
2006 Vancouver named property crime capital of North America.
2008 Vancouver named gang capital of the world.

The justice industry is the only beneficiary.

Denials of the forgoing facts as broad based statements or only incremental change is required is amusingly, but not seriously accepted.

The evidence of a government broken by corruption is all too clear, defending it must be as tiring as trying to watch the desperate attempts to defend it.

  21. Incremental Change.

When it was evident McLellan was going to authorize an increase in profitability by abusing record numbers of children I wrote to every stock exchange and major brokerage house globally. I gave them an economic outlook and updates on investment risk created by what is currently taking place. It didn`t get moving very fast but not coincidentally international investors completed their exodus when the results were undeniable. A process that although is just currently completing it`s first decade the problems we`re experiencing is the product of the 90`s sole custody levels. The effects of the historically highest number of parent denied children are just coming to street age,,, or the worst is yet to come. There is no doubt that the change I`ve affected no matter how promising is incremental. Now that is has reached the stage where the worst is increasingly evident is further incremental really what you suggest Herb, it looks a lot like distract dismiss deny to most of us.

What say you, shall we vote for further propping up this failed system, wait for the nation to follow the failed government and failed economy to complete the definition of a failed state?

Me,,, I`m goin fishing while your incremental changes fixes this outrageous exhibition of corruption.

    Did I mention up yours?

  22. In-Frakin'-credible.

What a load of crap! You do realize that when they fail again, and they will, Americans really will be carrying pitchforks.

  23. If Cdns. had enough gumption in them, then Canada would adopt this too -- enough being 'nice' to everyone!
Robin Williams gave a speech in New York, and knew exactly how he wanted to present himself -- wearing a shirt that says 'I love New York' in Arabic.

Ya gotta love Robin Williams, even if he is nuts! Leave it to him to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.

'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.'

    1) The US will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past and present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again.

    2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

    3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave, and we'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal! France will welcome them.

    4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

    5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby.

    6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

    7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

    8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

    9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

    10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH ... learn it ... or LEAVE ... Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

'The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?'
Grizzlies In Action -- NOT! --

Without getting political, this is a brief look at BC's rivers and wildlife. Quite nice. --
G'day, and great weekend to one and all.

All this stuff re: climate change, global warming / cooling, etc. Yesterday, there were two reports, combined into one from the m$m -- BBC and Telegraph -- which said that there were 266 consecutive days without any sunspot activity at all in 2008.

2009 is forecast to be a lot quieter; the intensity of the sun has also dimmed slightly so that winters will be longer and colder, summers shorter and cooler, springs and falls about the same.

This info. must have caused a reaction in scientists, as they now realize what is actually happening -- we're headed into a mini ice-age. BTW, snow in the forecast for the next two overnights here!

Curious that bees and other insects first started their disappearing acts, other things snowballed from there, the economy went south and now the sun is taking a break from us. I don't blame it one little bit, either!

As climate change has now concluded its para-not-so-normal activities for the time being, let's all move on to other things of little or no interest. Does anyone feel like having a good pandemic?

Well, there are 15 new cases identified -- two in Kansas, seven in California and eight in New York. Guess how it travels? --

Wonder how many folk don't know they already have it, but haven't had any symptom yet?

  24. In-Frakin'-credible

Oddly enough the reason almost half of the population feels they will fail is touted as the cure.

*** budget deficits to replace the private spending***

For that, governments in the U.S. and Europe must make good on pledges to restore confidence in their banks and governments everywhere accepting budget deficits to replace the private spending that has disappeared as a result of the financial crisis.

  25. 'Oddly enough the reason almost half of the population feels they will fail is touted as the cure.'
    4 D/W

Do you really think they would be allowed to fail? I don't. Pay the 10B Tarp back, pay out the bonuses, dump all the stock and then go to the back to the government.

Read on one of the 'survivor' sites.....forget using gold as a hedge, bullets will be the only commodity in demand of any value. Let's hope it was the full moon or something that brought out the wingnutters.

Hope you're feeling better. Leg starting to heal up?

When the people around me heard about the swine flu they wondered if it was the Americans who came up with virus. Remember the TB incident? Father-in-law was some muck at CDC TB research?

  26. Hello Comrades, have a few minutes and just checked in to see if you were keeping on. Sorry I don't have the opportunity at this time, to keep up with everything you have posted.

The battle against "incompetence and intransigence", will forever be with us. And yes, in my view there are some competent judges who actually do have acumen in their field. Woe be to those who encounter the rest.

Herb, my family member is severely injured and in all likelihood, has been striped of any reasonable expectations of enjoying what most take for granted.

  27. Hello Dee and all Comrades.

I'm healing but it's dead slow. Plus I don't have the strength to walk anywhere near as much as I used to, now it's a half-hour. I'm grateful for that, though. Keeps me out of Sandy's hair, plus I get some fresh air!

  28. "Do you really think they would be allowed to fail? I don't."

A commercially viable financial enterprise is not based on bailouts and the illusion of profitability from the aforementioned, they have already failed.

"bullets will be the only commodity in demand of any value. Let's hope it was the full moon or something that brought out the wingnutters."

You really don`t think the same crew using the same borrow and buy tactics that created this mess is the solution do you?

A while back I commented that gun control will be a big part of our future, those with the guns will have the control. When the majority of the population is moving to be well armed the `wingnutters` are those staying low. When the riots are under full swing I think having only the gangs well armed is a wingnutter thought but then I`ve always had a spot for creating justice when it`s been denied.
When you see the results of what government corruption has done to our country manifesting itself over the next 5 years you might want to consider being at least as well armed as the criminals or even the gangs.
First government fails, then the economy then the nation. Our government has failed, broken by the same corruption that has caused our economy to fail, next comes our country.
The fact is that even under todays circumstances gun sales are up, when the all the wheels have fallen off because bankrupting tax payers after bankrupting consumers spells,,, well armed will be a necessary part of survival, if anyone survives which is unlikly at best.

  29. Herb says;
I have some faith in the independence, logic and objectivity of our judicial system

    Comrade says;
    there are some competent judges

    Some faith, some judges.

How can Herb who stated the level of justice he can pursue is limited to his finances even pretend to support a judicial system of the elite for the elite, lol, warped.

Some judges Comrade, while it was our federal government that has screwed over Cdns for decades it is the judicial system that has created our out of control youth problems with the unconstitutional immoral, and often illegal use of sole custody,,,, for profit.

If there was a single competent judge is our whole freaking system they would be standing with the children and not the abusers.

In Canada if those in a position of authority know of a crime committed or about to be commited and fail to act they are as responsable (guilty) as the person commiting the crime. I`ll bet that narrows down the `some competent judges` to say,,, 0.

Exactly what about the system is worth saving that you`d stain yourself by supporting the abusers?

The reversal of what has been dragging down the Cdn economy over the years, the complete loss of international investor confidence in Canada won`t happen even if only a few apples are rottten.
You`ll hardly be instilling any confidence with `not all the apples are rotten`.

    Obviously you know that,,, yet.

  30. Curiosity of our time.

Quebec has a plan to deal with government corruption, the west is moving in that direction, even parts of the east coast are ready to ditch Ottawa while Ontario is planning to re-elect the Liberals and says it`s the rest of us that are desperate.

lol, if the eastern Harper conservatives havn`t fueled western separation enough Ontario wants to incrementally force the thugs back on us.

We`ll get back to you on that,,, k.

  31. 'You really don`t think the same crew using the same borrow and buy tactics that created this mess is the solution do you?'

Nope. And you're right about the banks already having failed. Interesting how msm is spinning. As for the arming of citizens? I find it disturbing. I don't believe violence to be a solution for anything.

Good to hear you're doing well Charles!

  32. "I don't believe violence to be a solution for anything."

Well armed and committing violence are two different things.

I find it very disturbing that the same morally bankrupt supporters of disarming honest law abiding citizens are mostly the same supporters of indenturing future generations with massive deficit spending.

Unless theres a few major reversals I don't think we`ll get a fairy tale ending out of this.

At best Canada be 4 individual countries, at worst some of us will see a nuclear winter.

  33. "Will they put aside the antagonism, the Imperialism, the politics and apply their abilities for once in my lifetime, to move forward together?"

I`m starting to wonder how much truth is in the Obama popularity polls. The reversal from the election platform to now has been leap of faith to just a leap. From jobs to things will get worse to employment is a lagging indicator. How many manufactures, loggers, miners construction workers etc say a job is the only indicator.

It might be a pretty serious election truth to promise not to raise taxes and do it, or promise to end
m$m corruption but promising jobs then say it will get worse before it gets better, then putting everything else ahead of jobs in any recover it a pot ready to boil over, well actually a pressure cooker bulging out.
I see it on the street and read it on sites like this and nobody believes m$m that says it is all rosy.

Politicians are not trying to fool commerce or even m$m when the general public is past the amateur spins like lagging indicator and are coming to the conclusion `jobs` is an election truth.

The most logical answer is the politicians are now trying to fool themselves. Fool themselves they are in control, invincible, always right or whatever other fantasy is da jour. Fool themselves into thinking they are always right because they fooled the most people into voting for them with election truths.

I wonder how they will react when reality bits them, so far they have used `it wasn`t me I inherited it`, `no one saw that coming` and I suspect one that has already bit back, `we are all in this together`. They should include a disclaimer, `not applicable to the working class`.

Comrade, economic conditions forcing change is way ahead of them putting aside the corruption let alone the antagonism, the imperialism, and the politics. This was not lost on me a decade ago when considering what economic conditions Ottawa understand. Other issues of higher importance stalled any voluntary changes by Ottawa. Economic conditions forcing changes likely already have too much of a lead for any voluntary change so I suggest everybody strap themselves down tight.

    no justice, no investment

  34. Orchids, Oracles and Orifices. Like Ketchup, Mustard and Pickles, Warren Buffet is the Oracle of Omaha living in an Orchid of a State, Nebraska, whereas Buffalo, N.Y. is known to be the armpit (Orifice) of the States, and chances are that humhairybug lives there.

But enuff speculation. Hello, good evening and welcome to The Theatre Of Dreams!

Don Werry said... ". . .we`ll get a fairy tale ending out of this. At best Canada be 4 individual countries, at worst some of us will see a nuclear winter."

Well, lookee here. First, a report with parts shown below. --

"It's now leaking out that there was more going on than met the eye at the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) Summit in Montebello, Canada in August. The three amigos, Bush, Harper and Calderon, finalized and released the "North American Plan for Avian & Pandemic Influenza."

"The 'Plan' (that's what they call it, with a capital P) is to use the excuse of a major flu epidemic to shift powers from U.S. legislatures to unelected, unaccountable "North American" bureaucrats."

It is patently clear why Harper called an early election -- even with a minority govt., he would hold court over the sheeple of this country, while the US, with the assistance of Mexico and Canada quietly assimilates us.

Mexico (where the combination of pig / bird / human flu-virus was deliberately started), and Canada into a one-country covering a huge landmass, with one currency (the AMERO).

Personally, I believe that the nuclear winter / major earthquakes option may be the best 'out' that there is.

    Second, a 2:17 video. Comment from --

"Now I am starting to wonder what was IN the wrecked truck that the cops didn't want KVIA to see."
The Mayan, Aztec and Incan Calendars all finish between 2012 and 2018. The sun has been noticeably quiet for most of last year, and probably for nearly all of this year.

Things, way beyond our tiny, limited comprehension are happening at bewildering speed, and this is one possibility. --
There are other things happening in the world, almost all of which are occurring daily now. People throughout the world are being bombarded with this stuff. -- --

From "US secretary of state Hillary Clinton (like Nancy Pelosi and many others, a zionist whore) raised the ultimate scare this weekend saying the "unthinkable" could actually happen in Pakistan — that the Taliban and Al Qaeda could topple the government, giving them "the keys to the nuclear arsenal'."

"In an interview in Baghdad, she said the US would not "let this go on any further, which is why we're pushing so hard for the Pakistanis to come together around a strategy to take their country back".

    Webmaster's Commentary:

"Translation: Pakistan has become the next target for the US military.

"Unfortunately, due to the dysfunction of the Pakistani government, by the time Islamabad realizes they've been had, it will be too late to do anything about it."

  35. A few bits and pieces to give you some night-time reading!
Since there is a pig / bird / human flu causing panic among sheeple thruout the world (what for, I don't know as each person's passing is going to happen at some point anyway), 'owzabout politicians all across have a mass panic attack?! --

". . . understand that the risk of increasing the money supply to promote economic growth and job creation by making it easier for businesses to get loans is consumer price inflation. The supply can be increased only just so much before prices begin to rise dramatically as more dollars chase the same number of goods and demand begins to fall, undercutting the purpose of the increase in the first place."
Just like the NORAD exercises (war games) immediately prior to 9-11 as a false flag, so four Welsh police forces reportedly had mock training exercises re: a pandemic prior to this outbreak starting. --
Gordon Brown, like Clinton and Pelosi I mentioned earlier, is also a zionist whore, and it seems quite clear that 'things are NOT going according to plan!' --
The student / sheeple of the world are as mad as hell, and they're not gonna take it anymore! --
This man may have some credibility -- he predicted the downturn in 2006. --
If true, this makes for an interesting conspiracy theory. --

"Worse, he says that unless we break Wall Street's stranglehold (unlikely in the new Washington) we will be unable "to prevent a true depression," warning that "we're running out of time," echoing many of our predictions of the "Great Depression II" coming soon. See previous Paul B. Farrell."

So all this garbage thruout the globe is appearing within days of each other. No wonder suicides are increasing in places like Japan, India, the military forces in combat all over the world.

    Clean coal fired plants.

The cost of using current technology just to bring US power plants up to just a 50% reduction starts at a $trillion. The latest US government estimate viewed as conservative by many experts is a tripling of consumer costs.

Other than a universal lowering of the continental water table as more use comes on line little is known of the NA continental aquifer or what effect pumping billions of tons of liquid CO2 into the aquifer will have.

This activity is projected to create 5 million jobs which is `` a lagging indicator.

If these proves to be the environmental disaster of drastically changing the ph level of a major water reservoir and source why is m$m even talking about issues that are years to never in the future, is there an election on?

"I don't want to know," the child said bursting into tears. "Promise me you won't tell me."

Confused, the father asked what was wrong. The boy sobbed,

"When I was six, I got the 'There's No Easter Bunny' speech. At seven, I got the 'There's No Tooth Fairy' speech.

Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"

"According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster," so he decides to go over and help with the puzzle.

She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says,

"First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster."

He takes her hand and says, "Second, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice cup of tea, and then . . ."

  40. B-B-Q time! --

". . . the crisis has to end sometime. But it seems much too early to us. Remember, this is a depression, not a recession. It is not a pause in an otherwise-healthy economic model. This time, the model itself is insolvent. Americans cannot continue going further and further into debt in order to provide huge bonuses for Wall Street and employment for China.

We should just stick to the middle of the road Charles and say, omg are we ever screwed. The less people working the less to pay the trillions of public debt.

Seriously have I not said all along deficit spending is not a plan.
Slashing self employed small business tax to 0 on the first 50,000 a year ago was a plan, foolishly rejected in favor of bailing out the bankers. How many of the promised jobs did that create or save, negative 120,000 or so.

A BC ad says vote yes to STV because it will make politicians accountable. If I had any thoughts of voting yes I would have changed my mind in the face of turning our political system on it`s ear without a word on how accountability becomes part of the process.

The jobless rate is now at a quarter-century high of 8.5 percent and is expected to hit 10 percent by the end of this year. It will probably rise a bit higher in early 2010 before starting to slowly drift downward. Still, the Fed predicts unemployment will stay elevated into 2011

Elsewhere, construction equipment maker Bobcat Co. told nearly 250 workers at its two North Dakota plants they will be laid off indefinitely, executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. announced plans to cut more jobs and reduce bonuses and salaries, and Lockheed Martin Corp. said it's cutting 225 jobs at a plant in upstate New York.

Overall you are entirely right. The criminals that are abusing our children for profit have had the same unchanging data for decades so really posting the facts to them is just to asking the criminal to please stop committing so much crime. When it`s intentionally generated abuse posting the data only tells them some of us followed the situation and know, and judging by the response they don`t care. Like the bankers, promoters and money managers the bottom line comes first, disgusting but what can you do, lol, keep voting the other bunch in.

Like I said before changing how we put people in office doesn`t change the office or the system. The problem isn`t with the people we elect or how we elect them, the problem is the federal government, the plain and simple truth, the system is broken by corruption and will not fix itself.

I thought of how Garth was rewarded for representing his constituents, sounds better when stv spins it.

MLAs have a greater incentive to represent their constituents.
