  2. Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. A twist on basic protectionism would be to offer domestic companies the opportunity to better low bid from foreign competitors whenever possible. Not so good for the stock market, but good for individuals and the overall economy of their country. Real competition, at least where the possibility of competition still exists.
